CINE is a screening and networking event. It aims to allow filmmakers, actors, crew, or anybody interested in film to find out what is happening in the region, show their films, pitch their ideas, put out calls for cast and crew, and meet other like-minded people in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
We know how hard it is to get films off the ground, and we want to promote the region as well as help aspiring talent get the start they need, but also provide a forum for established filmmakers to showcase their films and network.
It's about collaboration, networking and making films.
Feel free to download our flyer and pass it on to anybody who might be interested. You can also join and invite others via facebook.
Whilst there is no entry fee, we are asking (nicely) for an entry donation of between £3 and £5 per person.
All proceeds will go directly to D+CFilm, who over the years have provided regional filmmakers with a platform to share their work with a world wide audience. Every year they hold 'The View From Here' film festival to celebrate regional as well as international filmmakers. Now under the threat of closure due to budget cuts, CINE is hoping to pull in enough donations so that D+CFilm can continue to support and promote filmmaking in the South West.
CINE will be held on Saturday 4th Sept, 2-5:30pm in the black box room at the Exeter Phoenix, Bradninch Place, Gandy Street, Exeter EX4 3LS. Click here for a map.

We will not pass your email onto any 3rd party and only send you emails relevant to CINE events.
September programme now announced
If you have a film you would like to screen please email us at cine@cottageindustryfilms.co.uk with a brief synopsis (up to fifty words) of the film/project, along with any other relevant information (please also include a still from the film). The screening is non-competitive and if we are not able to screen your film at this event we will screen it at the next. We are looking for films of all genres, but ask that films do not exceed 15 minutes in length. Films can be of any genre. Once we have received your synopsis we will contact you to get a copy of the film.
After each film has screened there will be an opportunity for Q+A so we would really appreciate it if the filmmaker, or someone closely associated with the film, could attend the event.
If you have a project that you would like to present or discuss, please email a short description (up to 50 words) of the project to cine@cottageindustryfilms.co.uk.
